Is a part of the Texas A&M University System. It offers numerous online courses pertaining to WMD and Terrorism response.
It also offers fire/rescue classroom courses in the state of Texas. Online course completion will earn a certificate.

The Institute for Preventive Strategies
The Institute for Preventive Strategies provides research, consultation, and educational services in how strategic thinking and
strategic choice can contribute to prevention and mitigation of serious threats.
In 2004 the Institute launched a particular focus on the use of preventive strategies in counter-terrorism and other fields related
to Homeland Security. The Institute sponsors a program that is designed around the National Strategy for Homeland Security
and emerging national metrics and standards for Homeland Security.
The Institute is a national service of the Center for Rural Development, a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Somerset,
Kentucky. The available courses are specific to Law Enforcement and Emergency Services. You must register for the course
before you can begin. The courses are free and a certificate is available upon course completion.

Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism
The Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism informs the public about terrorism prevention and responder
preparedness.
Armed with that powerful knowledge, everyone is better equipped to understand existing and growing terrorist threats.
MIPT is a non-profit, nationally recognized think tank creating state-of-the-art knowledge bases and sharing information on
terrorism.

National Terrorism Preparedness Institute (NTPI)
National Terrorism Preparedness Institute (NTPI) ) opened in May 1998 as a result of the Nunn-Lugar-Domenici Act,
commonly known as the Weapons of Mass Destruction Act. Significantly, NTPI is one of the few pre-9/11 institutions of its kind.
NTPI provides extensive support to our Nation’s War on Terror. This support includes monthly nationwide, satellite television
broadcasts on important training topics for emergency managers and responders; traditional classroom instruction; training
support packages that include student and instructor guides, video, CD, DVD, and VHS products; mobile training teams; and
web- and computer-based training products.

Anti-Terrorism Intelligence Awareness Training Program
This course is designed to provide training to state and local law enforcement officers in domestic and international terrorism.
The goal is to provide officers with a working knowledge of past and present terrorist/criminal extremist groups and
individuals, their activities and tactics, and how to recognize and report potential indicators of terrorism and criminal extremism.
